It is important that you thoroughly study the attached schedule and make sure that the cover, insured amounts and personal details are correct as indicated on the policy schedule. It is imperative that you advise us of any discrepancies, as erroneous facts could have a serious negative impact or even lead to claims being repudiated.
Please ensure that the amount of cover as set out in each section of your policy is adequate to cover replacement value. The insured amount on household contents as well as homeowners insurance is increased annually by inflation. Even though this is done automatically, you still need to confirm that the insured amounts will be adequate. Premiums relating to certain items were also increased due to current market conditions or because of claims you had during the past year:

Insured amount: Insurers increasingly expect that ownership of items must be proven in case of burglary or theft. It is therefore wise to safe keep proof of purchase, especially of valuable items. Valuation certificates of jewellery, not older than two years, is a necessary proof when claiming. Please ensure that the sum insured is sufficient to replace all content in your house with new items to avoid being underinsured (everything you would normally take with you when you move house). We recommend using our inventory to calculate the correct amount and to update it on a regular basis.

Extra items: If there are any extras fitted on your vehicle (e.g. tow bar, mags, canopy etc), it must be listed with a value. Theft: Please ensure that your vehicle is equipped with a VESA LEVEL 3 or 4 immobiliser to qualify for theft cover. This is especially important with regards to older vehicles where security systems were not factory fitted as a standard feature.
