On 13 November 2014, the renowned sports science professor will be offering a talk on the value of the Low-Carb-High-Fat (LCHF) diet – the highly popular eating plan with which his name has become synonymous, while a scrumptious breakfast that meets the weight loss regimen’s specifications is served.

His highly controversial diet promotes a revolutionary restructuring of our eating habits, requiring that followers forgo all carbohydrate-rich foods and sugar (including most fruits) for a medium-protein, low-carb veggie- and fat-based eating plan.

Noakes, who in fact developed the approach from the case study of undertaker William Banting (a corpulent man who lost considerable weight after being prescribed a carbohydrate-restricting, high fat diet by physician William Harvey in the 19th century), will be sharing his insight and his own personal experiences as they relate to the diet.

The event will be taking place at 07:00 at the Durbanville Golf Club. Tickets are R500 each and are limited. Contact us for more information or to book your seat.
