I qualified as a CA (SA) in 1988. After completing my articles I ventured into the real world and worked for 12 years for Rembrandt Tobacco (now British American Tobacco) as financial manager/director. This was followed by a move in 1998 into the investment field when I joined ABN AMRO as a stockbroker. Since 2001 I worked for Sanlam Private Investments, after they acquired the business of ABN AMRO, and retired in 2010 after 12 years as Portfolio Manager working with High Networth Clients.
My family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons. My passions are travelling overseas, working out in the gym and cycling.
